Installation

Replace your factory bulbs with SilverStar Replacement Bulbs and give your vehicle an upgrade in light output, visibility, and style. Sylvania bulbs are designed to match the shape and size of your original factory ones, so installation is as easy as snapping them into place and plugging in wire connectors. When you consider how significantly these bulbs extend your night time vision while making you more visible to others, they are the obvious choice for safety. Because SilverStar bulbs are engineered to burn brighter, it is possible their lifespan may vary depending on regional climate conditions.

Sylvania® was originally founded in 1931, specializing in the development and manufacturing of vacuum tubes and radio transceivers. The company emerged on the forefront of lighting technology with the introduction of the first fluorescent lighting tube in 1939, and followed by branching into customer electronics such as television sets, radios, camera flashbulbs, and more. In 1959, Sylvania merged with General Telephone to form General Telephone and Electronics (GTE). During the following decades, Sylvania expanded their product lineup into automotive lighting applications and began cutting edge work on fiberoptics. In 1993, Sylvania merged with German lighting company Osram (founded in 1919) to form the Osram Sylvania name that is known today. Today, Osram Sylvania has United States headquarters and manufacturing in Hillsboro, NH and has become the world's largest manufacturer of automotive lighting equipment as well as products that illuminate homes and commercial applications.

It's a great bulb specially for the 2004 Ford Focus. You can't go wrong with it, and it's better than factory bulb, don't forget it's blue, and the light distance take to other road side.

They work great, really light up the road. Not your fault, but they were a real pain to get at to change the bulbs.

The brightness increase over OEM bulbs in my 2016 F150 was not that much.

These Sylvania SilverStar zXe's replacement bulbs were the perfect option for my 03 Toyota Camry. I'm able to see the road ahead & further than with the original headlights. They truly have HID attitude. And as always, the customer service experience with MOTORCYCLEiD is exemplary. Barry.

I put these on and they are like magic... They are a bit brighter than the regular halogens you get. Its not like those super white like the hid's that everyone has, but they work just great.

Looks wise. They are somewhere in between regular halogens and HID Xenons. Brightness is maybe 15-20% more than the regular halogens. But cost is way less than for HIDs. I'm pretty satisfied with the SilverStar bulbs.

Worth The Money
Sylvania® 9005XSST.BP2 - SilverStar Halogen Bulbs (9005XS)
This product was worth the money for me. I have horrible night vision and they provide enough light so I can see on unlit roads. Sometimes, people aren't aware that gloves need to be worn when installing bulbs. Oil from the hands can damage the bulbs and make them burn out quickly. Also, brighter bulbs don't last as long as the dimmer ones. Common sense should answer the why question on that one.
