Motorcycle brakes are highly stressed yet vitally important systems. Their components are subject to continuous friction and heat and require scheduled servicing and replacement. The heart of the system is the master cylinder, which is in charge of pushing the brake fluid throughout the lines. When the master cylinder is leaking, you lose hydraulic pressure. Clogged internal orifices also restrict the pressure and hence reduce stopping power.
