No matter whether you’re tackling rough terrain or just enjoying a short city ride, eye protection is a must. Sun, wind, rain, sleet, rocks, debris, and invasive insects can turn even the most thrilling bike trip into a nightmare! Don’t let the elements compromise your safety and comfort on the road. Keep your eyes fully protected by choosing from a comprehensive selection of motorcycle eyewear offered in our online store. And even if you wear a helmet with a shield, a pair of quality glasses can help you enhance your view of the road and protect your eyes. We stock goggles and sunglasses from top brands in the industry, so be sure they provide exceptional performance and visibility.
On our website, you’ll find motorcycle glasses and goggles in a variety of designs and color options, so you can easily choose the ones that match your taste and style. But remember choosing the right motorcycle eyewear goes beyond style. First of all, take into account the type of riding you’re doing. For long-distance or high-speed riding, opt for motorcycle goggles or wrap-around glasses because they don’t allow the wind to swirl behind your lenses, keeping your eyes from overdrying and ensuring your glasses won’t blow off your face. These glasses deliver ultimate protection against dust, small projectiles, and bugs, thus eliminating eye irritation. If you prefer short rides, choose eyewear that offers more air circulation to minimize fogging and sweating around the eyes.
Lenses are the most important consideration when it comes to motorcycle glasses. They should be made from shatterproof polycarbonate materials to withstand whatever Mother Nature may throw at them. Lenses should also deliver maximum UV protection especially if you ride in conditions where the sun is very harsh. To prevent eyestrain and get a clearer view of what’s ahead, it’s recommended to use polarized polycarbonate lenses since they are perfect for reducing glare from direct sunlight, windshields, wet surfaces, etc. However, if worn underneath a full-face helmet, polarized sunglasses can distort your vision, so use them in conjunction with an open face helmet. Motorcycle glasses are available with clear and dark lenses. Dark lenses are designed to reduce glare and protect your eyes from harmful UV rays during daytime riding, while clear lenses ensure excellent visibility during nighttime adventures. Yellow lenses are perfect for riding in foggy or rainy weather.
Some glasses even come with interchangeable lenses, allowing you to easily switch between lenses with different levels of tint and UV resistance. This option is perfect for those who wear prescription glasses but want extra sun protection. You can also choose motorcycle glasses with photochromic (transition) lenses that get darker during daytime and clearer when the sun goes down. However, they cannot get as dark as tinted polarized lenses, which is not an option for people who are very sensitive to sunlight. It’s also important that your motorcycle glasses provide resistance to dents and scratches, which can significantly reduce your visibility, especially in direct sunlight.
When choosing motorcycle sunglasses, make sure they fit the type of helmet you wear. If you use an open face helmet, you’ll need eyewear that ensures maximum protection against wind and road hazards, such as wrap-arounds or goggles. But while goggles or wrap-arounds have the most protective design, they are prone to fogging up when doing a lot of activity. To prevent this from happening, choose models that come with an anti-fog coating and a good ventilation system that will let moisture and sweat escape quickly. If you want your glasses to fit underneath your full face helmet, consider models with straight temples and back. And don’t opt for glasses with large lenses, because they may not fit properly, causing much discomfort.
