Product Details
Ox-Gard Anti-oxidant Compound (OX-400N) by Gardner Bender®. Volume: 4 oz. Ox-Gard™ Anti-Oxidant Compound. Ox-Gard Anti-Oxidant Compound contains prime grade zinc and is formulated with metallic zinc to create a compound that enhances electrical and thermal conductivity which is used on high power crimp connections and stud bolt mountings. When the connection is tightened, the grease is displaced, leaving a layer of zinc filling in the surface imperfections of the interface. This has a twofold effect; it improves electrical conductivity and it improves thermal conductivity. This reduces the connection temperature under high power conditions by a reduced voltage drop and by providing a heat conductivity path to the connection's substrate.

Gardner Bender® has been innovating and manufacturing conduit bending and conduit fishing equipment, electrical connection supplies, tools and wire management products for electricians for over half a century. Inventor James Gardner had started to produce his first mold to begin manufacturing his patented aluminum conduit benders that contained double-levels to tell electricians they had a 45 or 90 degree angle of bend. Fueled from this success, innovation was born, and by 1969 he redesigned and patented an improved fish tape for pulling wires through conduit. By 1975 Gardner Bender was producing 13 different types of hand benders, three different types of fish tapes, an assortment of wire connectors and other items needed by electricians.
