Motorcycle Halo Headlights

Halo Headlights

To be street legal, any motorcycle must be equipped with headlights. This simple but effective lighting device can not only help you see the road ahead after the sun goes down or in poor weather conditions but also improve your safety by making you more conspicuous even during a bright day. The majority of accidents involving bikes and cars are caused by inattentive drivers turning left without giving way to oncoming motorcycles. All of them claim that they simply did not see them coming. That’s why making yourself more visible means making yourself safer.

Studies show that the use of daytime running lights or headlights on a motorcycle during the day reduces the probability of a collision with a car or truck by up to 20%. It is one of the reasons why motorcycle halo headlights become more and more popular these days. The modern lighting equipment mostly uses LED technology in the design of headlights, including glowing halo rings circling the whole assembly or some of its components. They can not only be used as daytime running lights but also give your vehicle a unique, sharp appearance. These luminous rings look especially cool when circling a projector headlight.

If you have decided to upgrade your motorcycle by adding halo daytime running lights, you can do it by installing LED rings inside your factory sealed-beam headlights or simply replacing the whole headlight assembly with its aftermarket counterpart. In case your OEM headlight became too dim or has been damaged somehow and can no longer provide sufficient illumination at night or during rain, fog, or snow, consider replacing it with one of our motorcycle halo headlights. We work with only reputable manufacturing companies that value their reputation and offer their high-quality products under such brand names as Lumen, Nova-Lux, Redline Lumtronix, Delta Lights, Oracle lighting, and many others.

Motorcycle halo headlights usually come with projector high and low beams enclosed in black housings for creating a contrasting effect of bright glowing rings on a dark background. Due to their attractive, distinct look, such headlights are often called “angel eyes,” especially if the bike is equipped with double headlights. Some manufacturers add red LEDs into their projector lens assemblies for creating glowing red “devil eyes” with white or blue halos. Others include Bluetooth modules allowing the rider to use an app on a smartphone to connect with the headlight to change the color of the halo ring, add a flashy animation, use dimming or strobe features, and much more.

There are several types of headlights offered in the market using different bulbs as sources of light. Each of them has their advantages. Traditional incandescent halogen light bulbs with tungsten filaments are affordable, but their useful life is fairly short, and they cannot produce the light bright enough and white enough for illuminating the road ahead while revealing the true color of objects. HID Xenon light bulbs give off powerful white light, but their installation requires separate modules for producing high voltage needed for starting and feeding the high-intensity discharge lamp. Light emitting diode technology offers the long service life and compact size of LED bulbs. Also, they can produce bright white light without drawing too much energy from the electrical system of your motorcycle.
