The stopping ability of your motocross or dirt bike is actually no less important than its off-road ability. If all the parts of the braking system operate well, you will have no problem with slowing down your motorcycle, but should its pads be worn out, there may be problems. Exposed to abrasion and extremely high temperatures, they may deteriorate and fail sooner than you expect, so regular inspection is a must. Should they be in need of replacement, change them ASAP. There is a lot to choose from, as we carry aftermarket pads of different types. Organic pads are known to be the most affordable, rather silent, and relatively safe for the environment, but they wear out quite fast and can be less effective than their performance counterparts. If you are looking for pads that will serve you longer, take a look at semi-metallic and sintered pads. The latter are produced by fusing metallic particles under pressure and heat, thanks to which the compounds they feature become more resistant to high temps and friction.
