Motocross/Dirt Bike Wheel Spacers

Motorcycle wheel spacers are mainly used to fill the gap between the wheel bearing and the inner side of a swingarm or steering fork. Typically, there are two bearings sitting in the hub of each wheel, and a long center spacer is located inside the hub to make these bearings sit in the right position. Two outer spacers fit into the dust seals and press up against the bearings' inner races on each side. The designs and diameters of these spacers greatly vary depending on the bike's construction.

If you're planning on installing custom wheels with a different hub or upgrading the brakes, you may also need aftermarket wheel spacers to make sure that each wheel is centered properly and fits your axle. If the bike is equipped with disk brakes, the rotor has to remain in the center of the caliper, and probably, spacers have to be shorter or longer than stock to achieve that. Also, some riders install aftermarket spacers for easier maintenance; thanks to their tapered design, they don't come off the hub during wheel installation.
