Universal Dry Chain Degreaser (959US) by Muc-Off®. Muc-Off advanced Dry Chain Degreaser quickly eliminates built up oil, grease and grime without the need for rinsing. Its unique dry 'zero residue' formula means that after cleaning, it simply evaporates to leave the area thoroughly clean of grime with no residue. Works on even the toughest of grime, including waterproof grease and chain lube/wax residue.

Directions for use:
Use in a well-ventilated area. Shake can vigorously and apply to the selected area. Now use a brush or a rag to agitate stubborn contaminants. Your chain is now clean and ready for lubrication or protective treatments. If you are unsure of surface compatibility or if your bike has a non-factory finish, please test a small inconspicuous area before use. Store in a cool dry place. This is a specific-use product for bicycle or motorcycle chains.

The Muc-Off product is covered under warranty by Muc-Off to be free of defective parts and materials for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase (or as otherwise stated at point of sale) providing the product is used for normal domestic duties. All warranty periods commence on the date of purchase and are none transferable.

This warranty shall not apply to defects caused by misuse, neglect, accident, improper storage, installation or handling, frost damage, repair or alteration not carried out or authorised by us or the use of incorrect electrical supply voltage, contaminated water supply or unsuitable chemicals. The guarantee is limited to the provision of repairs, free of charge within the specified period providing the above conditions are met and the original proof of purchase is provided.

Muc-Off® 959US - Dry Chain Degreaser

I'm a newbie with trying to be a DIY. So researching what product would be best for the cleaning or go to the kerosene route. The dry effect enticed me because living in an apartment complex I have to work on the bike in a carport, I wanted to minimize the mess. I protected the wheel with a cardboard and put a drain pan under the chain where I sprayed the product. I used a chain brush and was happy with the cleaning of the chain. They say its ready at this point to apply the lubrication, but I did wipe it down with a rag. It comes out wet obviously but whatever the solution is made of it evaporates or transform into a solid. The excess that drips from the chain into the pan was minimal; leaving no mess.
