I purchased a pair of these bulbs for my 2008 Lexus IS 250. So far so good. I only installed one at this time. The new bulb matches the old build okay, actually better than I thought it would. The new build has just a tad of a bluer tint than the old one. I think the old, or perhaps the factory bulb, has a lower color temp than my new bulb. I think it's like 4200 vs. the Race Sport being 5000. I believe I read that the higher the color temp the more blue they will look. I am happy so far, especially about the price of these bulbs vs. what Lexus wants to replace a bulb. It's outrageous. I was concerned about installation initially, because the Lexus manual says this bulb needs to be replaced by Lexus. Thank goodness for U-Tube. It was a little involved but not that bad. Had to disconnect a wire, air intake tube, and the air filter box. Of course, those panels that cover the engine compartment have to be removed first, which I think are useless and a pain in the rear with all those dumb clips that basically don't even hold anything, since they are worn out. I may or may not replace the other side until it blows since they match okay for now. I'm thinking it's probably better to stagger the replacement anyway, since that might lessen the possibility of having 2 bulbs go out at the same time, which has happened to me once before, but only once. The odds are slim unless u drive a long time with just one bulb working, which I did on this outage. I put it off as long as possible when Lexus told me how much it would cost. Luckily, I never got stopped. I guess because I ran my fog lights while that bulb was out, and it therefore doesn't make my car look like a "Cyclops" or a motorcycle, and they leave u alone.....I'm thinking, anyway.
