Product Details

Shock Spring 6.6kg by Race Tech®. Progressive springs add progression to the stroke to compensate for the linkless design from the factory. Race Tech Progressive Rate Shock Springs do an excellent job preventing the stroke from blowing through on large bumps and rollers compared to the stock straight rate springs. Heavier Shock Spring for Lowered WR426F
Race Tech® SRSP 622860 - Shock Spring
With the amount of preload necessary, it would be foolish to try to make the adjustments with the shock in place on my 2001 WR426. Loosening the subframe and lifting out the shock is definitely the way to go with this bike. Some advice on approximate compressed length would have saved some time. Spring installation was necessitated by installing a Yamalink lowering arm. Oiling the surfaces at the bottom end that rotate with the spring makes turning the tensioning nut much easier.
