Rukka Gear
The Rukka Warranty
The company warrants everything it makes. Under the Rukka warranty, any manufacturing fault or material defect will be resolved free of charge, within the warranty period subject to the following terms and conditions.
Proof Of Purchase
For the 5-year warranty, you will need to provide a valid receipt or proof of purchase from an authorized Rukka dealer. The warranty starts from the date of purchase, only applies to the original garment owner and is non-transferable. Gloves, base layers, accessories and integrated products, e.g. protectors, are supplied with a 2-year warranty.
Wear And Tear
All Rukka garments are manufactured to meet its extremely high, quality and performance standards. However, even the most cared-for garments eventually show signs of wear and tear. Accidents happen, moving parts wear out and fabrics fade with time and use. General wear and tear, misuse, neglect or accidental damage are not covered by the warranty.
Mechanical damage or abrasion caused by interaction with other products e.g. helmet straps, rucksacks, reflective vests, components of the boots, motorcycle, etc. is classified as general wear and tear.
Considerations Including Component Lifetime
Any work carried out on a Rukka garment by a third party will invalidate the warranty.
The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement (at company’s discretion) of the garment and excludes consequential loss or damages.
The company sources the highest quality components for use in its garments. However, no component will last forever. Varying levels of use will affect the lifespan of all components. In every case, a fair assessment of the overall level of wear of the individual garment will be made based on the expert knowledge of the Rukka’s warranty team.
The 5-year warranty is not a guarantee of the minimum life of the product. Intensive use of the product may result in the garment being worn out before the warranty period expires.
GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY™
In addition to the Rukka warranty, your Rukka Gore-Tex outer garment is covered by the GORE-TEX GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY™ promise which ensures that the garment will remain durably waterproof, windproof and breathable for the intended use.
If you are not completely satisfied with the waterproofness, windproofness or breathability of your product, then Rukka will repair it, replace it, or refund your purchase price.
This promise applies to new product purchases and lasts for the useful life of the product. The decision to repair, replace, refund or reject is made at the discretion of W.L. Gore & Associates based upon an examination of product condition and useful life at the time of return. The defect/s present must be related to waterproofness, windproofness or breathability.
Rukka is proud of this promise, and love that it’s been used for years to keep people and their active lives comfortable and protected.
Understandably, there are a few limits to what’s covered in the promise, so if you have any doubts, have a look at the list below.
What is not covered by the promise?
Misuse: Products used for a purpose far outside the intended end use (for example: using a light running jacket to go rock climbing).
Damage: Any damage that is incurred by the use that results in compromised waterproof performance or intended functionality (for example holes, abrasion, burns, broken buttons, zippers, drawcords, hook and loop fasteners).
Lack of care: GORE-TEX products require regular care to last their longest and perform at their best. Products found to be failing due to a lack of care will not be covered.
Lack of DWR: Durable Water Repellent (DWR) is necessary for the product to perform as intended. It’s the responsibility of the customer to ensure DWR is reapplied as needed throughout the useful life of that product. Water no longer beading up on an old or heavily worn garment, even after application of a new DWR treatment, is an indication that the garment has reached the end of its useful life.
End of useful life: Damaged or worn beyond the possibility of repair or restoration to a fully functional waterproof, windproof and breathable condition.
Used purchases: This can include purchases made from thrift stores or private sellers.
Group rentals: Ski schools, guided outings, outdoor clubs, etc.
Products issued to the professional end user by an employer: e.g. military, law enforcement, fire and safety, industrial and corporate uses.
