Scooters continue to gain popularity worldwide, and there are good reasons for that. The main one is financial. The initial cost of scooter ownership is much lower if compared to other motor vehicles. Scooter insurance and registration rates are also minimal. Besides, scooters are very fuel efficient. Such a machine can run up to a hundred miles on one gallon of gasoline. The compact size of a scooter makes finding a parking space in the city downtown a much easier task. Many lady riders prefer scooters over motorcycles due to their “step through” frame allowing them to ride wearing skirts.
Also, keeping feet flat on the floorboard is more comfortable and safer than balancing them on tubular pegs mounted on the sides of the machine. But the grip surface on your floorboard may wear out over time resulting in your feet slipping, especially when it is raining.
