Even though most vehicles run on four or two wheels, three-wheel bikes represent a steady slice of the market. Their history dates back to the late nineteenth century, and there were plenty of glorious models, for example, the cult Ape by Piaggio or the glamorous Tri-Glide and Goldwing Trike by Harley-Davidson and Honda respectively. Modern three-wheel bikes are equipped with sophisticated engines where a control unit, or the ECU, monitors the main systems of the motor. Several sensors collect data to be sent to the ECU, and once something goes wrong, malfunctioning can be eventually detected.
The engine temperature and oil pressure sensors are the most essential, as if these parameters exceed a certain value, the engine is at serious failure risk. In the case of emergency, a warning light blinks on the control panel, urging for immediate action. In some cases, however, sensors can fail or provide wrong measurement, which means they need to be replaced as soon as possible. We have a broad selection of quality three-wheel bike sensors and switches designed and manufactured by reliable companies. Delivering precise and timely signals, they help to ensure the high efficiency of the ECU and increase engine lifespan.
